Next I would get the the mushroom soup if fenomenal ! Almost feels like a crea of mushroom but with out any cream the texture is soft and snappy! With a good balance of sweet, sour an salty ! I would suggest to order the oysters or the foie gras! The menu is simple is a 4-5 course menu and you get to pick out of 2-3 choices for each section. We were taken to the upstairs room a bit mor private and we went because it was my wife’s birthday , The atmosphere is very cozy and elegant, I almost felt like a general walking inside a military building well organized and respectful. The bowl with just the veggies, couscous, and garlic sauce would probably have been better.įirst is this house in between two sky scrapers about less the a ft apart, have you seen the movie up! ? Well kinda like that I think that’s pretty cool. The flavors tasted more Latin than middle eastern, which was a turn off, cuz it didn’t really mesh well with the other food. It actually reminded me of the late night shawarma and chip places in Europe, with flavors that blended well and were a perfect topping to their super airy and light pita!Īnd the garlic sauce - mannnnnn!! It has a rich sour cream tasting base, and is creamy and delicious with all the food. We loved the pickled red cabbage (so good!), the fresh salad, and flavorful rice.īoth the falafel and chicken were good as well. ![]() The hubs and I shared a pick 2 plate with Chicken Shawarma and falafel. ![]() I appreciate that it is fast food, but doesn’t feel like fast food (read: heavy, fried, starchy). The portions are fair, as are the prices for fresh ingredients. We went to the downtown location of Naf Naf for a quick lunch and were pleasantly surprised. I'm definitely looking forward to future visits! Oh and they do allow service animals here and go have a look at the Barking Spot Bakery because they have plenty of gourmet treats for dogs and cats □ here too! I am so thankful to Michael today for providing me with useful advice and making my shopping experience more magically enfused! □ Igor Irbe owns a map design shop here so go have a look and absorb the good vibes! I must have spent a couple hours here just eating and wandering around and met so many interesting characters. Michael told me the crystal vendor was away at a Rosemont crystal convention but he'd be happy to help me make a purchase and help me pay the owner since he knew his contact information. I took my time chatting with a couple of friendly female professionals on their lunch break then explored a bit of crystals □ that were set on display by Michael who does a wonderful job helping out customers at the information desk. I found so many tempting food vendors and chose Frietkoten Belgian Fries because it's been ages since I've had genuine Belgian Friet prepared with dipping sauces. ![]() Today I took a long leisurely hike from the West loop back to River North and finally ran into the French Market located within the Canal street Metra station. OMG! I can't believe I'm a Native Chicagoan and overlooked this charming collection of food vendors and locally owned boutique style shops!
